Dellago Charles S., age 79 of Bloomington, died Sunday, January 26th of lung cancer. Preceded in death by his wife, Violet "Sis." Survived by his wife, Katherine "Kay"; daughters, Barbara "Barb" Herron (Jim), Virginia "Ginny" Holtz (Ed); grandchildren, Maureen, Katie, Joe, and Monica Herron, and Charlie and Kelly Holtz. Chuck was born in Virginia, MN. He graduated from the U of M and played football for Bernie Bierman's Golden Gophers in the 1940s. He served in the US Marine Corps during WWII and the Korean War. He was self-employed as a manufacturer's representative for many years, selling in the hardware and discount trades before retiring in the late 80s. He also got great enjoyment as a professional musician, playing the upright bass beginning as a 13 year-old. Mass of Christian Burial 11 AM Wednesday, St. Edward's Catholic Church, 9401 Nesbitt Av S, Bloomington. Visitation 1 hour before the service. Interment Oak Hill Cemetery.
