Yule James Warren Yule, of Excelsior, MN, passed away on February 3, 2004, as the result of a stroke. He is survived by his wife, Betty L. Yule; son, Dr. Paul Yule, who resides in Bamberg, Germany; daughter, Maureen Y. Anderson of Clarkdale, AZ; two grandsons, Ryan and Jason Sabol. He also leaves behind his sisters, Muriel Collier of Houston, TX and Dortha Sell of Osseo, WI. In addition, he is survived by four stepchildren, Carol Fagin, Gary, Greg, Dick Boyd; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Having served a total of 14 years in the military, he was a veteran of World War II, the Korean War, and remained in the reserves up to the mid 1960s. Jim, as he was known by everyone, was a longtime resident of the Excelsior area. His door was always open, and he is lovingly remembered for his dry wit and far-reaching knowledge in many different areas. Since his retirement from electrical construction, he became an expert gardener, canner, and bee keeper. He had a marked pioneer spirit. As family and friends share their memories, they will always center on his unassuming and caring nature. Memorial gathering 12 noon Sat., Feb. 7 at the Cremation Society of MN, 7110 France Ave S., Edina. 952-924-4100
