Johnson Dr. Todd Michael Johnson, 46, Medical Lake, WA, died unexpectedly on Jan. 9, 2003 in Cheney, WA. Todd was born Nov. 3, 1956 in Minneapolis to Merton R. Johnson and Charlotte J.L. (Farm) Johnson. He graduated from Edina East High School. On June 15, 1985 Todd married Sandra Louise Rasmussen. Funeral services will be held Sat., Jan. 25, at 11 am at Mt. Olivet Lutheran Church, 5025 Knox Av S, Mpls. Interment will be in Prairieville Cemetery, Sleepy Eye, MN on Sun., Jan. 26 at 2 pm. A time of prayer and remembrance for Todd was held in Cheney, WA and Eastern Washington University held a celebration of his life. Todd obtained a B.A. degree with majors in mathematics, general science, and education from Gustavus Adolphus College, St. Peter, MN. His M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in curriculum and instruction: mathematics education, were from the University of WI-Madison. Todd spent his professional life educating others. During his career, he taught learners of all ages. At the time of his death, Dr. Johnson was an assistant professor of math education at Eastern Washington University, after serving as an assistant professor of math education at Illinois State University, Normal, IL. Todd enjoyed traveling, landscaping, socializing, and spending time with his family and friends. He had a wonderful sense of humor and he truly cared about others. Todd will be greatly missed by his wife, Sandra, Medical Lake, WA; brother, Peter, wife Chris and nephews Matthew and Will; father-in-law, Paul Rasmussen, wife Jane, Sleepy Eye; extended family members; and dog, Hack.
