Sue Countryman

Countryman Sue, age 67, of St. Paul, after a 2-year battle with cancer, died peacefully on January 20. Preceded in death by parents, Genevieve C. & M.J. Kelly, and former husband, Chris. Survived by daughters, Cate (Doug) Johnson, Anne (Jim) Gibbons, Julie Countryman and sons, Michael (Leslie), Steve (Diane), Dennis (Barb) and John (Tuleah); sisters, Shari (Jim) Rogers, Marnie Kelly and brother, Michael (Lorraine) Kelly; 12 grandchildren and nieces & nephews. Mass of Christian Burial at ST. JOHN THE BAPTIST CATHOLIC CHURCH, 835 2nd Ave., New Brighton, 10 AM Friday. Visitation 4-8 PM Thursday at O'HALLORAN & MURPHY, 575 S. Snelling Ave., St. Paul. Private interment. Sue taught high school for 26 years in the South St. Paul and Mounds View School Districts. Sue's teaching impacted thousands of students in the Twin Cities area. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Our Lady of Good Counsel Cancer Home.
