Nordin Lois M. Nordin, 74, of Duluth, passed away on Saturday, January 18, 2003 after a brief illness in St. Mary's Medical Center, Hospice. She was born June 6, 1928 in Superior, WI to Harvey C. and Myrtle C. Lee. She graduated from Superior East H.S. Lois taught school for 30 plus years after graduating from college in Superior and receiving her master's degree from the University of MN, Mpls, and attended Bible College for 3 years. She started her teaching career in Port Wing, WI and continued in Minnesota in the cities of Albert Lea, Grand Rapids, and Robbinsdale from where she retired. During her early years in education, Lois was an accomplished violinist and played for musical groups in the cities where she taught school. Lois was an active member of First Covenant Church in Duluth. Lois was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Eric R. Nordin; sister, Elaine Lee of Superior; brother, Bruce Lee of St. Paul, MN; step-children, Lois of Sandstone, Lee of Duluth, Mary Nordin of Palm Springs, CA; nieces, Carla, Erika; and a nephew, Randy. Memorial Service: 11:00 AM Thursday in First Covenant Church. Rev. Mark Kelly officiating. Inurnment in Greenwood Cemetery, Superior.
