Loehr, Jennifer G. 54, of Willmar passed away Sept. 9, 2017, at Bethesda Grand in Willmar. A celebration of life service will be 11:00 AM, Friday, Nov. 24, 2017, at Vinje Lutheran Church in Willmar. A visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. She was born July 8, 1963, in Litchfield, to James A. and Audrey M. (Kleven) Loehr. She weighed only 2 pounds. Jennifer worked hard during her childhood to overcome the physical limitations of cerebral palsy with therapy, swimming and biking. She attended school in Dodge Center, Horace Mann School in Minneapolis, the Edina Public Schools, and graduated from Faribault High School in 1984. Independent and courageous, Jennifer attended Southwest State University in Marshall, and earned a degree in social work. She spent many hours volunteering at Courage Center in Golden Valley, Good Samaritan United Methodist Church in Edina, and Bethesda Heritage in Willmar. She was an avid sports fan! She especially enjoyed the Willmar Cardinals, Minnesota Twins, and Minnesota Vikings! She was a favorite aunt to Jordan, Ali, A.J., Jack, Austin, Jimmy, and Haley. Her support and interest in all their activities, along with her positive outlook on life, was an inspiration to all of them. Though Jennifer lived with physical disabilities, she had tremendous capacity to love, to laugh and to listen. For the past 12 years, Jennifer has called Bethesda Heritage and Bethesda Grand home. As her family, we are grateful for the tender care she received, and the friendships she treasured with her caregivers. She is survived by her father, James Loehr of Willmar; sisters: Sandi (Dr. Kevin) Unger of Willmar, and Susie (Scot) Housh of Edina; and seven nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Audrey M. Loehr. Harvey Anderson Funeral Home, Willmar hafh.org
