Kozel, Robert L. age 84, of New Brighton, MN, passed away at home on Sept. 9. Bob was born in Gilbert, MN to Frank and Anna Kozel. He attended UMD and St. Thomas, graduating with a Masters in education. He was an Air Force Veteran and a teacher for 30 years in St. Anthony and 14 years in Moundsview School Districts. He is survived by his brother, Frank; sister, Alice; wife, Rosemarie (nee Ahlin); four children, Karen (Howard), Kevin (Tammy), Kurt, Kristin; six grandchildren, Jordan, Courtney, Kyrsten (Jesse), Zarek (Cortney), Jade, Luke; and four great-grandchildren, Laken, Emma, Zola and Atlas. Bob's grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the joy of his life. Mass of Christian Burial Thurs., Sept. 14, 10:30AM at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 835 2nd Ave. NW, New Brighton, with visitation one hour prior.
