Sharon Marie Swanson

Swanson, Sharon Marie of Richfield, MN. Age 76, born June 12, 1941 in Fosston, MN. Our family explorer went on her final journey September 8, 2017, after a short battle with cancer. Sharon was fortunate to have a long career she loved. As a travel agent, she explored the world many times over. Her favorites were China's Great Wall and Tiananmen Square, an African safari, the Great Pyramid and Sphinx of Egypt, Europe and Hawaii. Preceded in death by parents Arthur and Alpha (Bagstad) Swanson and brothers, LeRoy and Mark Swanson. Survived by siblings, Mavonne (Bob) Lofstrand, Patricia Heagerty, David Swanson, Daniel (Patty) Swanson, Priscilla Gunderson, sister-in-law Avalene Swanson, and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. We'll gather to celebrate Sharon's remarkable life on Wednesday, September 20 at the Cremation Society of MN, Edina, 7110 France Ave. S. Visitation at 3:00 followed by a service at 4:00 p.m. Committal service will be at Fridhem Lutheran Church Cemetery in Lengby. Date and time to follow.
