McDonald The funeral Mass for Fern W. McDonald, age 86, Andover, Minnesota, formerly of Fargo, will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 13, 2003 at Church of the Holy Spirit in Fargo. Fern passed away Wednesday, January 8, 2003 at her home in Andover. Fern Shannon was born July 7, 1916 in Cogswell, North Dakota, the daughter of Joseph and Martha Mary (Brandt) Shannon. Fern was united in marriage to Freeman B. McDonald in Cogswell, North Dakota. They raised their family in Fargo. Freeman passed away on August 21, 1961. Fern moved to the Twin Cities area in 1971, where she was a top solicitor of community involvement for the American Cancer Society, Mothers March of Dimes, and the American Heart Association, all in Bloomington, Minnesota. Retiring at the age of 81, she moved to the Farmstead Terrace in Andover, Minnesota. Fern is survived by six children. Boulger Funeral Home Fargo 1-800-393-6441
