Zukauska, James J. Jr. Age 93 of Robbinsdale, passed away peacefully in his sleep at St. Therese of New Hope on August 12, 2017. Preceded in death by his loving wife of 64 years, Eileen Rose Fish; sons, James and Michael, and daughter Margaret. Survived by children, Elaine (Ron), Mary (Dave), Anne, John (Jill), Catherine, and Joseph (Sheila); many grandchildren and great grandchildren. James started at Honeywell in the Tool Design Dept in 1943 and was then in the Army during World War n from May 1943 until January 1946 serving in the 864th Aviation Engineers Battalion in the South West Pacific. He then returned to Honeywell and achieved the position of Superintendent of Tool Design and the Model Shop before he retired early in 1981. James especially enjoyed spending time outdoors with his wife and family of 9 children and spent many years camping and fishing and hunting with them. When asked recently about what he wanted to be especially remembered for, his answer was "just being a great dad"! The Zukauska family would like to especially thank the awesome staff at St Therese for their wonderful care of our dad for the past 3 years and for making it "home" for him! A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Church of Sacred Heart, 4087 West Broadway, Robbinsdale on Wednesday, Aug. 23 at 10:00 AM. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to service at the church. A private interment will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery, New Hope, MN.
