Paulson, Hazel Leona (Wulff) Hazel was born March 30, 1920 in Heron Lake MN. Surrounded by loving family, she passed peacefully on June 25 2014. She was preceded in death by husband, Cyril (Pipe) Paulson; parents, Mary and Oscar Wulff, brother, Harold; sister, Evelyn and son-in-law, Harry Paulson-Hanson. Hazel is survived by sister, Lillian Nemmers; children, Peggy Burnet (Ralph), Douglas Paulson (Sherry), Gail Paulson-Hanson and Mark Paulson; grandchildren, Kim Hall (Tom), Stephanie Ott (Mike), Carissa Tyler (Paul), Brandon Paulson (Shelly), Alysia Nahring (Curt), Ryan Burnet (Amber), Taylor Hanson, Jordan Hanson, and Nicole Hanson; great-grand-children, Alexis Nahring, Brittany Nahring, Calvin Germinaro, Sydney Paulson, Natalie Ott, Abby Paulson, Will Ott, Amanda Hall, Evan Tyler, Charlie Germ- inaro, Julian Tyler, Lindsey Hall, Lauren Ott, Elijah Paulson, Spencer Tyler and Layla Burnet; loving extended family members & many dear friends including Sally and Rich- ard Koenig, Carman Melendez . Hazel's gentle humor brought laughter to many, her sparkling blue eyes and lighthearted smile warmed many hearts. There was always a kind word and a helping hand offered. Hazel was known for her great sense of adventure! She loved gliding, white water rafting and scary rides at the State Fair. She was always looking for something new and ex-citing. She was an avid Twins fan She loved the time spent with family in Minnesota & Colorado. At the age of 50, she went back to college to fulfill her lifelong desire to become a Nurse. She graduated with her RN degree & continued nursing into her 70's. Hazel's life revolved around church and music. Always active in Bible Study groups, the Compassion Circle, and choir. She was a Senior Delegate and Vice President for Lutheran Women's Missionary League and the "Friday" receptionist at the Redeemer Lutheran School a volunteer job she loved. Redeemer was a short walk from Meridian Manor where she lived for 5 years enjoying many friendships, doing activities, walking, reading and knitting. Forever loved, forever missed and never forgotten. Funeral service 10:30 am Tuesday, July 8 at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 115 W. Wayzata Blvd, Wayzata 55391. Visitation 1 hour prior to service at church. Private interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
