Richard David Schmidt

Schmidt, Richard David 6/14/48-7/24/17 Rick passed peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer. Throughout his journey, he was surrounded by the people who loved him the most. He will always be loved, cherished, and missed by the love of his life, his wife, Merry of 48 years. Rick also treasured his Little Schmidt Family; son Craig, wife Theresa and his cherished grandson Charlie who brought joy each and every day. The journey was also shared by his brother Gerry and wife Mary Jo as well as his brother Don who shared the precious gift of his stem cells with Rick. A private memorial service will be held with close family in the Big Horn Mountains, Wy. and at Rick's beloved cabin. Memorials can be made to: University of Minnesota BMT Cancer Research Unit or American Cancer Society Hope Lodge.
