Schroeder, Duane George Age 85 of New Hope, MN passed away on 7/13/17. Preceded in death by wife, Gayle Schroeder, parents Peter and Clara (Marie) Schroeder, and brother Vance Schroeder. Survived by daughters Valerie (Daniel) Tuenge, Cindy (Gregory McIntosh) Schroeder, grandchildren Jessica and Jason Tuenge, special friend, Carol Lange, sisters Jean (Kenneth) Stokes, Sandra (Dale) Wucher and sister-in-law, Nita Schroeder. Duane was an engineer by trade who was always looking to fix and design things in his own way. Duane's passion was searching garage sales for the most unique treasures. He was the guy who always got the best deal. He was a kind-hearted soul who enjoyed helping everyone and giving his advice to anyone who might listen. He will be greatly missed by all who have known him. The family requests that if you are attending the visitation or funeral, please be prepared to share a funny story or favorite memory about Duane. We know there are many! Duane has requested red flowers only (but be sure you get a good deal). Memorials preferred to Can-Do-Canines, New Hope, MN or Dunwoody College of Technology, Minneapolis, MN. Funeral service 11 AM Wednesday, July 19 with visitation 1 hour prior and reception to follow.
