Johnson, Edith L. of Minneapolis, MN, died peacefully on July 10, 2017, at the age of 93. Edith was born to Per and Edla Johnson in Minneapolis and was a life-long resident. Edith graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1942 and began work at First National Bank (later US Bank), retiring in 1982. Edith was a life-long member of Bethany Lutheran Church and was also a member of the Minneapolis Hiking Club, the American Swedish Institute and the MN Arboretum. Edith was an incredible volunteer, serving dozens of organizations and literally thousands of people. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Joyce. She is survived by her brother, Art (Marion) Johnson; nephews, Jeff (Debra) Johnson and Jay (Karen) Johnson; niece, Joni (Geoff) Bohleen; 6 grandnieces, one grandnephew and one great grandniece. Memorial Service will be at Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 3640 23rd Avenue South, Minneapolis, on Friday, July 14, at 11 AM. Visitation one hour prior to the service. Private interment at Crystal Lake Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials preferred to the American Swedish Institute, the MN Arboretum, World Mission Prayer League or World Vision. Henry W.
