Steinbron, Dr. Melvin J. age 94 of Apple Valley. Passed away on June 25th. Longtime Clergy, serving churches in Ellsworth, Wi, Duluth, MN, Hilo, HI, St. Paul, MN and Cincinnati, OH where he retired. He came to Richfield where he served as associate pastor at Hope Presbyterian. He founded the Lay Pastors Ministry in 1978 which is still very active all over the world, including Kenya, South Korea, Australia and Jamaica. Preceded in death by his first wife Charlotte, daughter Star Schmidt, brothers Fred, Morris and Harold and a sister Miriam. Survived by his wife Helen, son Sterlyng (Diane) Steinbron. Grandchildren, Terri Barela, Tracey Myers, Kelly (Robert) Stuart, Matthew (Stephanie) Steinbron and Benjamin (Symone) Steinbron, 12 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren, his sisters, Helen Welch and Ruth Mellis as well as many other relatives and friends. Funeral service, Thursday, June 29th at 11 am at Hope Presbyterian Church, 7132 Portland Ave. S. Interment Lebanon Cemetery.
