Cottle, Barton Louis age 53, passed away at home on June 3, 2017, after a long and courageous fight against multiple myeloma. He was, indeed, a fighter who beat the odds by living six years after his diagnosis. Barton was a professional pilot, photographer and IT specialist who used all of his talents at his job, and shared them with his family as well. He was a graduate of Southwest High School in Minneapolis, attended Mankato State University and earned his degree in aviation from Metro State University. He loved to travel and had a great sense of humor. Barton was predeceased by mother Dawn, and grandparents George & Sally "Toots" Margulies, and Max & Nina Cottle. He is survived by his beloved wife Yanling Li and adored son Richie; father Richard Cottle (Susan Henderson); sisters Elissa Cottle (Kent Schumacher) and Rabbi Rebecca Cottle Epstein (Barak); aunt Evelyn Cottle Raedler (John); nephews Jesse LaVercombe and Lucas Schumacher; and nieces Noa, Aviya and Sonia Epstein. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him: his family, friends and colleagues. The family thanks the dedicated doctors and nurses at Frauenshuh Cancer Center, St. Louis Park, for al of their help over the years.
