Podratz, Helen Sophie age 99 of Gibbon died Saturday, May 27, 2017, at the Fairfax Community Home in Fairfax. Funeral Service will be 2 pm on Thursday, June 1, 2017, at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Moltke Township. Pastor Benjamin Rucker will officiate, and burial will follow in the St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-7 pm on Wednesday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in Gibbon. The visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church. Guestbook: mvfh.org Helen is survived by her children, Wayne (Pat) Podratz of Minne-tonka, Ruth (Lyndon) Anderson of Hector, Kenneth (Carol) Podratz of Granite Falls, Warren (Marie) Podratz of Nemo, South Dakota, Kathleen (Don) Sawyer of Rose-mount, Brian (Terry) Podratz of Minnetonka; grandchildren, Daniel Podratz, Kim O'Neil, Kevin Anderson, Corey Anderson, Lara Podratz, Maria Christensen, Adam Podratz, Jared Podratz, Natasha Carmichael; 16 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Mae Sondergaard of Glencoe; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Oscar Podratz; her son, Terrence Podratz; and her sisters, Mabel Seashore, Emma Behmer, Josephine Carlson, Della Boelter, and Violet Gottwaldt. Helen Sophie Kirchhoff was born January 31, 1918, in Gibbon to Henry and Sophia (Stradtmann) Kirchhoff.
