Alderman, Margit R. age 73, of Coon Rapids, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her family on May 24, 2017. Preceded in death by her parents, Harry & Gunnvor Sheff. Survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Arnold; children Reidun Loya, Adam Alderman, Heidi Stenglein (Jim); grandchildren Matthew Loya, Marissa Loya, Emma Stenglein & Elaina Stenglein; brother Harold Sheff plus aunt, in-laws, nieces, nephews & cousins. Margit will be most remembered for her outgoing personality, infectious laugh, slightly skewed sense of humor, generous friendship, tenacity in face of adversity, love of family and the positive impact she had on the lives of those she touched. The family would like to express their gratitude to the M Health Blood and Marrow Transplant staff at the M Health Clinics & Surgery Center and the Fairview Hospital for her care during her 3 year battle with MDS & AML with a special thank you to her primary doctor, Erica Warlick. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the U of M Foundation, Nancy's Fund. This fund assists patients with unmet needs undergoing bone marrow transplants.
