Hokstad, Debra Diane (Johnson) of Minneapolis, passed away May 18th, 2017, at the age of 61 years. Preceded in death by her mother, Jerry-Mae Johnson and father Donald Johnson. Survived by brother, Bruce Johnson (Deborah) and nieces, Tanya Pratt and Kara Johnson. Survived also by Bob Hokstad, cousins and many other friends. Debbie had a zest for life which included a passionate love of music, especially the Rolling Stones. After a lung transplant over 5 years ago Debbie spent her time taking care of and loving her plants and flowers. She worked endless hours digging, planting and tweaking her lawn so it would look just right. She was so proud of it. And, of course, she planted many hot pepper plants every year for her brother. Debbie also bragged often about her two nieces, Tanya and Kara, and Tanya's children, Alicia, Ashley and Michael. Debbie passed peacefully with her family and special friends by her side as Rolling Stones music permeated throughout her hospital room. There will be a celebration of Debbie's life on Saturday, June 3rd, from 1:00-5:00 PM at her childhood home.
