Germaine F. Welter (Frey), age 86, on Jan. 25, surrounded by her loving family. Preceded in death Ray N. Welter, her husband of 57 years. Long time resident of S. Mpls. She spent her entire life there except for the 8 years on ``The Farm'' in Eden Prairie where she now has a street named in her honor - Germaine Terrace. She attended St. Elizabeth's Grade School and the Academy of the Holy Angels. She was the youngest daughter of Peter and Helen Frey and was preceded in death by 8 of her 10 brothers and sisters - Joe, George, Marie, Ray, Urban, Helen, Norbert and Roman. Germaine is survived by her 12 children and their spouses, Ray, Jr. (Carole), Gerri, John (Marcia), Margaret Hall (Tom), Carol, Barbara Walter (Craig), Helen McDevitt (Jim), Linda Gustafson (Paul), Joe (Luanne), George (Diane), Philip ``Sam'' (Margaret) and Joan; 39 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; sister, Genevieve Olson and brother, Jerome Frey; sisters-in-law, Clara Frey and Loretta Seavall Wheeler; many nieces, nephews and friends. Special thanks to Laura, Caprice, Leslie and Monica for their loving care. Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday, 10:30 am at Visitation Catholic Church, 4530 Lyndale Av. S. Visitation TODAY, 4-8 pm, at Enga-White-Gleason Funeral Chapel, 5500 Stevens Av. S. (35W & Diamond Lake Rd.) and Tuesday 1 hour before time of Mass. Prayer service TODAY at 7 pm. Interment St. Mary's. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Academy of Holy Angels or Visitation Church. 612-827-5838 ``MY MOM'' will always be remembered for her unquestioning acceptance of her faith and the challenges that God presented to her and for her unconditional love and devotion to her family.
