Matheis James J., age 61, of Burnsville, passed away on Jan. 26, 2002 at Walker Methodist Health Center (WMHC). Jim was a graduate of DeLaSalle High School and the College of St. Thomas. Jim dedicated many years to the Burnsville JC's, the Burnsville Athletic Club, and DeLaSalle Alumni Committees. Jim was currently employed by Talmud Torah of St. Paul where the staff and students hold a very special place in his heart. He was previously employed by Graham Marketing, TRO and Control Data. During his illness, Jim was surrounded with love from his family and friends. A special thank you to Jim's DeLaSalle friends for their constant support and the compassionate Gamble 5 staff and pastoral staff at WMHC. Survived by wife, Diane; children, Mike (Sabrina), Joe (Jeanne), Judy Lynn (David), Jim, Justin (J.J.) Reiten, Jamacy Reiten (Chris); grandson, Phillip; sister, Mame Eisenmenger; niece, Julie; nephew, Bill; the Ellingson family and former wife, Judy. Preceded in death by parents, Harry and Dorothy Matheis and brother-in-law, Bob Eisenmenger. Visitation on Tuesday, January 29, 5-8 pm, at the White Funeral Home (12804 Nicollet Av. S.). Celebration of Life service on Wednesday, January 30, 3 pm at Walker Methodist Health Care Chapel (3737 Bryant Av. S.). Visitation 1 hr prior to service.
