Newport Howard, age 75, of Bloomington. Preceded in death by wife, Eleanor; 3 sisters, a brother and parents. Survived by daughters, Juanita Newport & Bob Sannes, Janis Newport, Joan (Val) Rutks, Janine Newport and Paul Tate; son, John & wife Sue; grandchildren, Bridgett, Danyelle, Maija, Derek and Amber Ray; great-grandson, Ethan; brothers, LeRoy and Dwight Newport. Army veteran of World War II and an employee of over 30 years with the Star Tribune. Interment Ft. Snelling.
