Gearhart Lowell Mershon, age 78 went to join the Lord peacefully on Jan 18, 2002. Lowell served in the U.S. Army during the WWII and is the recipiant of the honorable Purple Heart Award. Lowell was a member of the Kraus Hartig VFW and a charter member of the Waite Park Wesleyan Methodist Church. Lowell will be deeply missed by his beloved wife of 60 years, Lois; daughter and sons-in-law, Sherry & Tom, Bonnie & Wally; grandchildren, Dan, Pat, Chelsie, Jeff & Jody; 7 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by parent, siblings and son, Lucky. Funeral service 10 AM Mon, Jan 21 at Waite Park Wesleyan Methodist Church, 1510 33rd Ave NE, Mpls (612-781-7434). Visitation 12-3 PM Sun afternoon at The Miller Funeral Home, 6210 NE Hwy 65, Fridley and in church Mon 1 hour prior to service. Kraus Hartig VFW service 2 PM Sun in funeral chapel.
