Hume Marion L., age ``a young 90'', of Mtka, passed away peacefully on Jan. 16, 2002 after a short, courageous battle with cancer. Survived by dear friend & companion of 39 years, Claire Schwanebeck; second cousins including Bill Sahly of Golden Valley, Barbara Paul of Sayville, NY and a large group of friends collected like treasures throughout her life. After graduation from West High School, she worked as an elevator operator, chief inspector for Army Signal Corps, a secretary for Conoco and St. Mary's Junior College, and as a real estate agent. Marion loved to ski, golf, bowl, sing, travel, carve, was active in the St. Louis Park Senior Program, serving as chair of the Older American Advisory Council, member of Super Singers and the Ukulele Group. Her 90th birthday party was attended by 75 people, all good friends, for whom she was part of the entertainment! She will be missed for her wit, humor, kindness and personality. Private interment.
