Georgia Shirek

Shirek Georgia, 88 year old resident of Little Falls, MN, formerly of Minneapolis, MN, died Tuesday, January 15 at St. Otto's Care Center in Little Falls, MN. Georgia was born June 20, 1913 in Faribault, MN to the late Frances & Catherine (Skluzacek) Sirek. She was united in marriage to Henry Shirek on June 25, 1934 in Bechyne, ND. The couple made their home in Minneapolis, MN. Henry died April 5, 1983. Georgia continued living in Minneapolis, MN until moving to Little Falls, MN in 1997, where she resided at the time of her death. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and knitting. Georgia is survived by her children, Kenneth H. Shirek of Oswego, NY, Johanna C. Trujillo of Mesa, AZ, John K. Shirek of Minnetonka, MN and Teri Kroll of Little Falls, MN; 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Jacob & Johanna Skluzacek; parents, Frank & CAtherine (Skluzacek) Sirek; and 1 brother & 3 sisters. Service Thursday, Jan. 17, 1 PM at St. Otto's Care Center in Little Falls, MN, with Rev. Mark Innocenti officiating. Burial Hillside Cemetery, Mpls at a later time.
