Sather Raymond A., age 89, of Brooklyn Center. Preceded in death by daughter, Jeannette Marie; wife, Angela Marie; parents, Peter and Anna Sather; brothers, Paul, Arthur and Ralph; sisters, Anna, Margaret, Dorothy, Irene and Millie; brothers-in-law, Carl Ostberg, Dale Kenyon and John Leighton. Survived by sister, Hildur Leighton; sister-in-law, Kathryn LaVine; many nieces and nephews. In World War II, Raymond served as 1st Lt. Raymond A. Sather - 314 Infantry 79th Recon. Troop, Division of U.S. Army. He fought against the enemy from July 10, 1944 to April 16, 1945 in France, Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany. For bravery in action, Raymond received the Bronze Star Medal and Oak Leaf Cluster. He contributed greatly in the success of his Platoon. Funeral Service Thursday 10:00 am at Gearty-Delmore Robbinsdale Chapel, 39th and West Broadway. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation one hour prior to service.
