Evalyn D. Hanson, age 79, of Bloomington, born January 9, 1923 in Maple Lake, MN to the late Timothy and Anna (Burn) Daily, died January 10, 2002. Preceded in death by husband of 28 years, Lyle Hanson. Survived by son, Gary (Denise) Hanson of Bloomington; daughter, Colleen (Steven) Thompson of Maplewood, NJ and stepson, Dale (Kathy) Hanson of Edina; grandchildren, Melissa, Matthew, Megan, Michael, Martin, Mark and Meredith Hanson, Kim (Steve) Payne and Krisy (Aaron) Marx; great-grandson, Andrew Marx; sisters, Mary Ellen Blake, Rosemary Edling, Lorraine Daily and Joyce Daily and many nieces and nephews. Evalyn was a veteran of the United States Navy. She served her country as a WAVE, U.S. Navy Woman during WWII. She was a 35-year employee of Northwestern Bell. She was also a member of the Telephone Pioneers and the American Legion Post #550. She was deeply loved and will be missed greatly by her children, grandchildren and many friends and relatives. Mass of Christian Burial Tues., 11 am Nativity of Mary Catholic Church, 9904 Lyndale Av. S., Bloomington. Interment Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.
