Pederson, James A. "Jim" age 32, of Minneapolis, formerly of Eden Prairie, died Friday, May 12, 2017 at Hennepin County Medical Center as a result of injuries sustained in a traffic accident. Jim is survived by his parents, Ron and Barb Pederson, Eden Prairie; sister, Jenna, Chicago; grandmother, Mary Ann Plutt; aunts and uncles, Jim and Deb Plutt, Bill Plutt, and Mary Jo Plutt, Jack Pederson, Sr,; cousins, Nick, Julie, Katelyn, and Joe Plutt, Jack, Denise and Wendy Pederson; honorary uncle, Steve Soderlind; many friends and moped enthusiasts. Jim was preceded in death by his grandfather, Albyn Plutt and grandmother, Violet Pederson. Jim was a beloved family member, an adventurer, and had an enormous zest for life. He was a founding member of the Casserollers Moped Club, an eagle scout, and an avid sailor. His kind and generous heart touched all of those who knew him. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, May 16 at 5:30 PM with visitation one hour prior at Washburn-McReavy Eden Prairie followed by a Celebration of Jim's life at Hyland Park Reserve at Sunnyside picnic area. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations in Jim's name to one of the following organizations: Donate Life America (Organ Donation Non-Profit), The Human Society of the United States.
