Hodgson, Michele Michele Maria Hodgson (nee Fatze) of St. Paul, Minn., died May 2, 2017. The beloved wife of Thomas Alan Hodgson, she is preceded in death by parents Mildred (Groth) Fatze and Christian Fatze. Born Sept. 28, 1954, in St. Paul, Michele was a graduate of Minneapolis North High, College of St. Thomas (magna cum laude), and Radcliffe College Publishing. Michele spent 16 years at MSP Communications, as an assistant, associate and then managing editor of Mpls. St.Paul Magazine. She left in 2001 to begin a new career in book editing, and served as an adjunct professor at the University of St. Thomas' School of Journalism. As a hospice volunteer for Allina, Michele created wonderful family histories and memoirs for her patients. She volunteered for the Inland Lake Yachting Association, editing The History of the Inland Lake Yachting Association, for which she was honored as 1998 Member of the Year. Michele will be remembered as one who gave with no thought of reward, as a strong woman whose ability to care, inspire and love knew no limits. Celebration of life, May 17 from 48 p.m., service at 6 p.m., Harriet Island Pavilion, 200 Dr. Justus O'Hage Blvd., St. Paul, MN. Private interment, Old Frontenac, MN. Memorials are preferred to Allina Hospice and Home Care, Hodgson Swimming Family Endowment Fund at the University of St. Thomas or the Inland Lake Yachting Association Youth Development program.
