Larry Nels Ringgaard

Ringgaard Larry Nels Ringgaard was born on July 15, 1943 in Vulga Township, Brookings County in South Dakota to Merle C. and Edith D. (Larson) Ringgaard. He grew up in Badger, SD and graduated from Arlington High School. He fell in love with Shirley Bowman and they were united in marriage on July 31, 1964 in Badger. Together they lived in a number of areas in South Dakota prior to moving to Edina in 1969. They moved to Bradford, MN in 1976 and lived there until moving to Zimmerman, MN in 1991. For the last four years Larry has worked for GJ Smith Excavating. He loved fishing, and also enjoyed hunting and horses. He is survived by his wife, Shirley; his sons, Kevin and his wife, Laura of Elk River, Kelly of Zimmerman, and Keath of Princeton; 5 grandchildren, Jennifer, Christopher, Ryan, Amanda, and Kayla; his mother, Edith in South Dakota, and his brother, Eudale and his wife, Carol, also in South Dakota. He was preceded in death by his father. Larry passed away on Friday, November 21, 2003 near Zimmerman at the age of 60. Visitation Monday Dec. 1, 2003 one hour prior to the 11:00 AM memorial service in the Williams-Hanson-Kaun Funeral Home, Princeton. (763) 389-1131
