Richter, Marilyn "Jean" Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. Born July 27, 1927 Died April 11, 2017.Jean attended Washburn High School and the University of Minnesota majoring in music and art. She left a mark on her community as a founding member of Minnetonka Youth Hockey Association, volunteer with Tonka Little League Baseball at Bennett Family Park, and piano teacher of over 70 years. She was a dedicated member of Lake Harriet Baptist Church / Colony Park (Edina) and an enthusiastic participant in Manor Tones and Sweet Adelines. Jean excelled at maintaining and nurturing friendships, demonstrating to those around her the value of prioritizing relationships. Most importantly she loved her family and the Lord Jesus Christ. We are comforted by the knowledge that she is in His presence, gloriously renewed and joyfully praising God. Preceded in death by husband Robert J. Richter and son Bob. Survived by daughter-in-law Fran Richter, children Wendy (John) Mielke, Steve (Susan) Richter, Tom (Carol) Richter, Heidi (Tim) Larkin, 19 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and many other family members and friends. Memorial Service Thursday, April 20, 1pm at Wooddale Church Edina Campus, 5532 Wooddale Ave, Edina, MN 55424. Private interment at Fort Snelling. Memorial donations may be made to Sweet Adelines or Folkestone Employee Education Assistance.
