Russell 'Rusty' Banker

Banker, Russell "Rusty" died on Wednesday March 22, 2017 at the VA Medical Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Russ is preceded in death by Ray, Lois, Doris, Marvin, Tim, and Tom, his mother Ruth Banker and father Oscar Nelson. He is survived by his brother Edward Banker and wife Betty, and twin brother Rullo Banker and wife Karen. Russ has one son, James Knowles and wife Danette, their daughter Angelia and son-in-law Brian Hagopian (USMC Active Duty), and two great grandchildren: Lili and Byron Hagopian. Russ also has two daughters: Jennifer Alderman and son-in-law Serge Alderman and their two sons; and Kimberly Banker. Russ is also an uncle to numerous nieces and nephews with family members located throughout the United States. As a member of the United States Marine Corps (USMC), Russ served his country for three years from 1955 - 1958. A sometimes loud and boisterous man, Russ had a fearless temper and warm heart. He loved his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, and his beloved wife Diana who herself preceded Russ in death and is now with the Lord. And he loved cats!"
