Irons, Audrey Marcella Olson Johnson Audrey went home to be with the Lord on March 24, 2017. She was born February 2, 1925, to Mollie and Lewy Olson in Amery, WI, the fourth child and first daughter in a family that would number ten children. Audrey graduated from Amery High School in 1943 and worked at Minneapolis Honeywell from 1943-1946. She married George A. Johnson on April 22, 1946. To this union seven children were born. She volunteered at Golden Valley Hospital for 26 years. Audrey was a lifetime member of Epsilon Sigma Alpha Sorority (for 66 years) and a recipient of the Paul Harris Fellow Award from Rotary International. She took Stephen Ministry training and was commissioned in 1998. George passed away in 1976. On February 18, 1977, Audrey married John S. Irons. Winters were spent in Sun City, AZ, and summers in Crystal, MN. Audrey was preceded in death by her parents, son Richard, daughter Judith; four brothers, Arvid, Donald, Knute, and Willie Olson; three sisters, Beulah, Carol, and Emma; and husbands, George Johnson, and in August of 2004, John Irons. She is survived by two daughters, Jacqueline (Blaine) Shepherd and Jeanne (Todd) Hansen; three sons, Bruce (LaDaun), David (Johnnie Nell), and Paul (Peggy) Johnson; 17 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren; brother Sherman Olson and sister Gloria Erickson; and a host of nieces and nephews. Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 1, 2017, at the Gearty-Delmore Funeral Chapel, 15800 37th Ave. N, Plymouth, with visitation one hour before the service. Burial will follow at Crystal Lake Cemetery, Minneapolis. Audrey requested no flowers, but memorials may be directed to the E.S.A. Scholarship Fund, the Salvation Army, or Plymouth Covenant Church.
