Arbogast, William "Bill" Jason A Loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother and Uncle, William (Bill) Jason Arbogast passed away at the age of 68 after a long battle with Alzheimer's on March 20, 2017. Bill, born on May 18, 1948 to Theodore and Effie Arbogast, was the first of 7 children. Bill grew up in Golden Valley, MN where he attended Hopkins High School. After graduation he joined the United States Navy. During his service he was deployed to Vietnam with River Squadron 13 where he was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for single handedly saving the lives of two of his crew mates. He loved his country and defended Her honorably. After Vietnam, Bill was employed as a Forklift/Warehouse Mechanic at Supervalu in Hopkins, MN until he retired at the age of 53. Bill was an avid golfer and bowler. He was a member of leagues for many years with his wife Cindy, and friends. He always loved to make jokes and play pranks on those he loved, especially his siblings. Because of his antics his friends dubbed him "Wild Bill." Bill loved everyone with whom he came in contact and will be greatly missed by so many. He will always be our hero and we will miss him every single day. Bill is survived by his loving Wife Cindy Arbogast, Daughters Julie (Adam) Cardwell, Rachel (Ryan) Pugh, Granddaughter Zoe Zschokke, Grandsons Mason and Evan Pugh, Sister Sharon (Joe) Wyffels, Brothers Bob (Vicki) Arbogast, Greg (Robbi) Arbogast, Pat (Sharon) Arbogast, Ted (Renee) Arbogast, and Jim (Kim) Arbogast, as well as many nieces and nephews. Bill is preceded in death by his parents Theodore and Effie Arbogast, Niece Lisa Arbogast, Father and Mother-In-Law Eugene and Laura Flink, Brother-In-Law Stanley Flink as well as aunts, uncles and cousins. Services will be held Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at Advent Lutheran Church, 9475 Jefferson Hwy, Maple Grove, MN 55369. Visitation at 9 am and service at 10 am. A luncheon will be held after the service and then a processional to Fort Snelling National Cemetery where he will be laid to rest with Military Honors. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
