Kegley, Joyce M. Born on February 1, 1928, Joyce Marie was our devoted daughter, sister, wife, auntie, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Joyce graduated from Washburn High School and St. Catherine's University. After college graduation she worked as an Adoption Services soical worker for the State of Minnesota. Joyce also served for decades as a community volunteer, including emergency housing projects and as an elections judge. In September of 1954 Joyce married John R. Kegley, sharing over 62 years of loving married life, and to whom she is survived. Joyce is also survived by her children, John, Mary Endersbe (Jerod), Kathleen, Anne; her grandchildren, Tyler Mather (Karmela), Thomas Mather; her great-grandson, Noah Mather, and her devoted brother, Richard J. Call (Annette) of Montana. Joyce was preceded in death by her father, Richard Call; mother, Mary Quinlan Call. Loving mystery novels and hard-boiled detective movies, Joyce was also a dedicated reader of her three Sunday newspapers, laughing with her many relatives, friends, and neighbors, and, over the years caring for her many goofy dogs and one very large cat. Joyce Marie passed away peacefully at home from complications of cancer on St. Patrick's Day, March 17, 2017. Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 23, 2017 at the Church of Christ the King, 5029 Zenith Ave. S., Mpls. with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
