Anderson, Robert W. Age 88, of Minneapolis, died March 5, 2017 of complications of Parkinsons' Disease. Born August 29, 1928, Detroit Lakes, MN, third and youngest son of Anton and Nona Afea (Norby) Anderson. Educated at Waldorf College, Forest City, IA; Concordia College, Moorhead, MN; University of North Dakota, Grand Forks; University of Minnesota, Minneapolis. High school teacher in Perham, MN; Fargo, ND; District 281, Robbinsdale Senior High. Major (Ret.) United States Air Force. Long-time Placement Director for American Guild of Organists/Twin Cities Chapter. Last surviving grandchild of L.J. Norby, pioneer Northwest Minnesota merchant and banker. Golf and table tennis aficionado and a devoted daddy to 9 West Highland white terriers. Preceded in death by brothers Roger L. Anderson, M.D. (Agnes Lynch Anderson) and Russell Norby Anderson. Survived by spouse and life-companion of 44 years, Randall M. Egan and by beloved nieces Nona Greene (Mrs. William), Santa Monica, CA; Christine Morrison (Mrs. John L.), Wayzata, MN; Sarah (Mrs. Gregory Van Schaack), Winnetka, IL, and their families. Funeral service Sunday 3:00 PM at Central Lutheran Church, 333 E. Grant St., Minneapolis, with visitation at 2:00 PM. Interment at a later date at Oak Grove Cemetery, Detroit Lakes.
