Reich, Michael age 77, of Plymouth, passed away February 24, 2017. Preceded in death by parents Ned & Beatrice Reich; in-laws, Lawrence & Gertrude Horovitz and sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Phyllis & David Hoffman. Mike is survived by "the love of his life" and wife of 55 years, Arlene; children, Burton Reich, Allen & Rebecca Reich and Cheryl & David Goldenberg; adoring and cherished grandchildren, Isaac, Naomi, Jessica, Hannah, Sophie, Daniel and Ethan. Mike had a special bond that connected him with his siblings, Roberta "Bobbie" & Jack Beutel, Charles "Chuck" & Nancy Reich, Larry & Marilyn Reich, and Dee Ann "Didi" & Gerry Mann. He also had a special relationship with his brotherin-law and sister-in-law, Michael & Susan Horovitz, and he truly felt fortunate to have so many special nieces and nephews, cousins, and dear friends in his life. Michael loved life and all the people in it. His compassion and kindness for all, as well as his gentle and nonjudgmental attitude, made it so easy for people to confide in him. Mike loved to laugh, at himself and with others, his infectious laugh made it hard not to join in. While he often was known for being reserved and conservative, there was a playful, mischievous side that often popped out, which brought so much joy to others. He was the best thing to happen to so many people. Michael was proud and devoted to his career as a CPA and to his clients. His deep understanding of people helped him as a mentor and confidant to others both in his professional and his personal life. Funeral service 11:00 am WEDNESDAY at BETH EL SYNAGOGUE, 5225 Barry St. W., St. Louis Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to JFCS of Minneapolis, Beth El Synagogue or Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation jdrf.org SHIVA, 7:00 pm Wednesday and Thursday at Beth El Synagogue.
