Castillo, Drony October 27, 1926 - February 10, 2017 Drony was a bright, thoughtful and decisive leader of the Castillo family for many years. The first of 8 children, Drony was humbly raised in rural Philippines. He was a brilliant student and an exemplary eldest child. In the late 1950's, he was sponsored by Philippine Government to get his Actuarial Masters degree at The University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. To share his success, he lend a helping hand to his siblings, extended family and friends. While he led a very comfortable life in the Philippines, he moved his wife and children to the US in 1970 to ensure the best education for his children. In the 80's, he retired from Towers Watson. Even in his retirement, he and his wife, Alice, were able to help many to be leaders in their own right; he generously shared his success for the betterment of all. He was also an ardent community volunteer in the Filipino-American community. Drony lost a battle to cancer on Friday, February 10. He did not suffer long and died peacefully surrounded by family. He leaves behind a family linked together in love and dedication to 'family first'. Survived by his brother Virgilio Castillo, his sister Wilhelmina Juan, his wife Alice, his children Dony Castillo (Val), Aleth Flores (Dodge), Abby Bosacker (John), and Aubrey Castillo.
