Goblirsch, Richard Paul Age 87, of Mpls., passed away January 6, 2017. Born 1 January, 1930 in Mpls., MN to Alphonse Goblirsch and Josephine Schiefelbein. Attended St. Thomas Academy and the College of St. Thomas. Received a Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin at Madison. He was professor of Mathematics at the University of St. Thomas for 30 years. Preceded in death by his parents, a brother Gerald, brothers-in-law Maurice Foy, James Koehler, Henry Williams. Survived by his wife Linda Thain; his former wife Marilyn LaBounta and their children Carl, Paula, Kurt (Katja); sisters Helen Foy, Josephine Ann Williams, Rose Marie Koehler; sister-in-law Kathie Goblirsch; grandchildren Sarah Ronquist (Roger), Paul Goblirsch, Anna Goblirsch; 5 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
