Focht, Verna J. age 94, of Hopkins. Preceded in death by her husband, Jack; son, Michael and sister, Doris. Survived by sons, John (Monica), Dan, Karl (Sue) and special daughter-in-law, Stephanie; grandchildren, Jason, Joshua, Megan, Samantha, Brian, Caroline, Taylor, Carter and 9 great-grandchildren. JoAnn was born and raised on a farm in Lancaster, MN. She met and married Jack Focht during WWII. They traveled the world raising their family in Guam, Seattle, Hawaii and California, finally settling in Minneapolis. She worked at Northwest Airlines and maintained close relationships with co-workers throughout her life. JoAnn lived her Catholic faith joyfully, enjoying visits from Joan, the Pax Christi Companion Minister, when she could no longer attend Mass. Her last years were spent at Grace Home, where she and her cats were lovingly cared for by Grace and the entire staff. Mass of Christian Burial Friday, Dec. 16, 10:30 AM, Pax Christi Catholic Community, 12100 Pioneer Trail, Eden Prairie. Visitation one hour prior to Mass. Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
