Bartlett, Barbara A. age 89, passed away on Nov. 30th, 2016 after a long struggle with Lewy Body Dementia. She is survived by daughter Nancy Schultz and partner Patrick Cotton, son Scott Bartlett and wife Becky, granddaughters Corey and Casey Schultz, nieces Janet Fones and Judy Bartlett, nephews Jon and Art Bartlett and their families. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Bob, daughter Lynne, parents Marie and Robert Abbe, son-in-law Ted Schultz, as well as her brother and sister-in-law Jack and Claire Bartlett. Born December 4th, 1926, she grew up in New Jersey through college and early marriage years. Barbara and Bob moved to and raised their family in Lynbrook, New York and had wonderful retirement years in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, where they were both very active with their church, volunteered, and traveled extensively. Mrs. Bartlett worked as a teacher at Marion Street School in Lynbrook for close to 20 years, and is remembered fondly by many former students and colleagues. In 2001, Barbara moved to Minnesota to be closer to family. An open house gathering to remember Barbara will be held on December 27th from 5:30 to 7:30 PM at 1611 W. Wayzata Blvd in Long Lake, MN. Light refreshments will be served. Interment at Arlington National Cemetery will follow at a later date.
