DeZiel, Mildred P. "Millie" age 90, of Minneapolis. White-gloved elevator operator Millie DeZiel gently passed away on November 23, 2016. Millie's genuine hospitality, beaming smile, and graceful presence warmed us daily. Her deep commitment to God and family, as well as all her friends, will forever be an inspiration. As a Minneapolis elevator operator for over 60 years, Millie was always impeccably dressed, an elegant memory of days gone by. We thank the 614 Company of the Young Quinlan building and the rest of her "downtown family" who held a special place in her heart. Preceded in death by parents Walter and Pauline, brother Matt, and sister Gladys; her husband of 50 years, Paul W. DeZiel. Survived by children Greg (Karen); Tom (Joyce); Cynthia (Steve) Brown; Craig (Sharon); Wallace (Laurie); Paula; Christina (John) Marson; her 17 grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Immediate family gathered for a funeral mass at Holy Cross Catholic Church on November 25. Donations in her honor may be made to the Mayo Clinic, Myelodysplasia Unit, 200 First St. SW, Rochester, MN 55905. Special thanks to the wonderful staff at Jones-Harrison Residence who cared for her. The family wishes to extend Millie's loving, white-gloved farewell to all those who knew her.
