Sarah Frances Reilly

Reilly, Sarah Frances 59, passed to Eternal Life at home with her family on Saturday, August 20, 2016. Sarah was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Sarah Reilly, along with her brother, Robert and sister, Patricia. Sarah is survived by her husband, Tony Gantenbein, and children Max Hamre, Joe Gantenbein and Ellen Gantenbein, along with her brother, Richard Reilly (JoAnne) of State College, Pennsylvania, her sister-in-law, Carol Reilly of Raleigh, North Carolina and her sister Beatrice Reilly (Carl Gertz) of Las Vegas, Nevada. Sarah was born March 16, 1957 in Newark, New Jersey. She graduated from the University of Florida with a bachelor's degree in art history and moved to Minneapolis in 1978 to attend graduate school at the University of Minnesota. She has called Minneapolis home ever since. Sarah beat cancer in how she lived. She will be remembered as a woman of values, and faith, who was devoted to her family. She cherished her role as mother and loving wife. We will celebrate her life at The Basilica of Saint Mary on Thursday, September 1 at noon. Visitation begins at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of the Immaculate Conception at the entrance of the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Sarah's name to the American Cancer Society, 800-227-2345. Consider restricting the funds to patient services.
