Jones, Margaret "Peg" Margaret "Peg" Jones made a peaceful passing on August 9, 2016 in Minneapolis, MN. Proud and loving mother of Hunter, Matthew (Mary Pat), Maggie Johnston (Brad), Adam (Christine), Joe (Kelly), Brophy, Coco, and the late Henry A. Jones III (Hank). Beloved grandmother to 14 grandchildren, including the late Bo Johnston, and 4 great-grandchildren. Former wife of Henry A. Jones Jr, Peg is also survived by nephews, nieces and life-long friends in Wisconsin and California. Peg was born in Terre Haute, Indiana on July 21, 1928 to Ralph O. Yeager Sr. and Margaret Murray Yeager. She was preceded in death by her parents and older brothers Ralph Yeager and Murray (Pete) Yeager. She was very active in the Milwaukee arts and culture communities, volunteering for the Milwaukee Arts Center and the Historic Walker's Point neighborhood. Art was an integral part of Peg's life, she infused color and beauty into everything she touched. She also loved gardening and spent many hours in the gardens of friends and family, nurturing them so that they bloomed and thrived. Peg was happiest when surrounded by her family. She loved long Sunday dinners, holidays at her childrens' homes, and long stays with each of them in the later years of her life. Peg saw the best in everybody and believed we all have special gifts. She was eternally upbeat, optimistic and happy to enjoy the simple pleasures of everyday life. Her kindness and generosity of spirit were an inspiration to so many, and a gift she has passed down to her children. A special thanks from our family to the staff of The Waters Minneapolis and Grace Hospice for the care and love they gave Peg. A gathering to celebrate her life will be held in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on Sunday, September 4th, with a memorial service at the Grand Staircase in Lake Park at 9:30 am and a reception immediately following at the Lake Park Bistro from 10:00-12:30 am. Memorials suggested to the Alzheimer's Assoc., 620 S. 76th Street, Suite 160, Milwaukee, WI 53214.
