Rubinger, Albert age 95, of St. Louis Park, passed away July 21, 2016. Preceded in death by wife Dorothy; daughter, Beth Rubinger Suran; parents, Sam & Bessie Rubinger; step-mother, Sarah Rubinger; siblings & spouses, Moe & Adeline Rubinger, Edward & Charlotte Rubinger, Annette & Sid Locketz. Immediately followed in death by granddaughter, Lauren Suran. Survived by children, Bruce Rubinger (Joan Schwartz) and Carolyn (Dan) Ansel; grandchildren, Tom Rubinger (fiancée - Justine Miller), Francesca Rubinger, Marissa (Mauricio) Porven, Ashlee Suran (Jon Lawrence), Zach Ansel, Sam (Paige) Ansel, Michael (Allison) Gelfman, Jonathan (Amy) Gelfman, Judy (Jeffrey) Victor, Daniel (Dori) Gelfman; 17 great-grandchildren. Also survived by lifelong friend and business partner, Sid Hartman. All who knew Al, knew he was "one in a million". A man of grace, dignity and elegance, Al was always perfectly attired and coiffed. He was there for any and everyone in need. He loved being in business, but most important was his love for his family. Al's life was enriched and lengthened by his wonderful caregiving team: Dianne Welch, who was his loyal aide for seven years and Jayne Clairmont of b-home Home Care, who made Al's final years so comfortable with her incredible staff: Moji, Bonnie, Brenda, Danny, Niki and Tiffany and Jenessa of Intrepid Hospice.
