Finn, Gerald Michael age 77, of Apple Valley, MN, passed away unexpectedly on June 9, 2016 at Augustana Care and Health Rehabilitation of Apple Valley following a brief illness. He was preceded in death by wife, Jeanne Finn, parents Frank and Minnie Finn, and daughter Kathryn Blume. Survived by brother Lee Finn; son Steve (Lisa) Lockard and daughter Valerie (Bruce) Rippee; seven grandchildren Vicki, Nicole, Michael and Ryan Muenchow, Riley Lockard, Stephen and Lindsey Rippee; one great grandchild and many extended family and friends. Jerry was born on April 22, 1939 in Minneapolis, MN and lived in the area most of his life. He worked as a custom machinist for Milhoff Machine and Welding for 35 years until retirement in 2008, and performed custom race engine work in his earlier days. Jerry was married to his beloved wife Jeanne for 38 years until her passing in 2012. He loved his dogs and enjoyed auto racing, bowling, traveling and spending time with friends. A memorial service will be held on July 31 at 2:00 p.m. with visitation beginning an hour prior at the Cremation Society of MN, 7110 France Ave. S., Edina, MN. 952-924-4100.
