Choiniere, Mary Margaret Age 85 of Eden Prairie passed away June 21, 2016. Preceded in death by loving husband Paul; infant daughter Teresa; parents; 2 sisters and 1 brother. Survived by sons David (Lisa) of Long Lake; Joseph of Eden Prairie; daughter Camille (David) Wiley of Summerland Key, FL; 3 grandchildren Michael, Mariel, Loren James "LJ"; sister Emily Axford of Windom, MN; 3 brothers Donald (Frances) Schaffer, Leslie Schaffer, Jack (Rose) Schaffer all of Windom, MN. Mary was born January 10, 1931 in Windom, MN and grew up loving farm life, education, music and the arts. She attended Teacher's College at St. Cloud State and received her Master's in Education from the U of M. Mary's teaching career spanned 32 years, part of which took her to Hawaii where she met her husband, Paul. Mary and Paul were married for 59 years and lived in the same house in Eden Prairie which they loved. She enjoyed painting all of her life and after retirement took up wood carving at which she excelled. Mary was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, teacher, neighbor and friend who will be deeply missed. Memorials preferred to the church. Interment St. Margaret's Cemetery. Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 AM Friday, July 1 with visitation one hour prior to the Mass at the Church of Immaculate Heart of Mary, 13505 Excelsior Blvd, Minnetonka.
