Anderson, Noel Ruth (Kaufman) Age 83, of Mpls., passed away June 17, 2016. Preceded in death by husband, John Helten Anderson parents, Mark and Ruth Kaufman, and brothers Gerald and Ronald Kaufman. Noel was a graduate of the Academy of Holy Angels and received her undergraduate degree from Rosary College and graduate degree from St. Thomas University. Her professional life included careers in copywriting, teaching and non-profit administration. After retirement Noel enjoyed collecting and selling antiquarian books, walks around the City Lakes, and a good movie followed by hearty discussion. A longtime appreciator of the arts and literature, Noel belonged to many book clubs and never turned down the challenge of a good crossword puzzle or scrabble game. Noel explored her Catholic faith with passion and was deeply invested in both volunteering and social justice work. Noel was married for almost 54 years to the love of her life, John Anderson, who preceded her in death a few months earlier. Noel is survived by her children, Mary (Jim) McHugh, John (Robyn) Anderson, Monica (Kent) Stuart, and Matthew Anderson; and grandchildren, Molly, David, John, Megan and Danielle.
