Bradley, Byron M. November 6, 1922 June 5, 2016 age 93. Byron was a graduate of and later a teacher at the Mpls School of Art (MCAD). He also taught at the Minnetonka Art Center and at the Grand Marais Art Colony from 1954 until 1985; from 1959 on as a co-owner with Birney Quick. Byron and Bob Kilbride founded the Kilbride Bradley Art Gallery in the early 50s. Byron ran the art supply side and eventually expanded and moved it to 27th and Lyndale where it became KB Art Materials. With his incredible knowledge and willingness to share, Byron was a mentor to many of today's artists. Byron is survived by his wife of 53 years, Emma; daughters, Sarah Métis and Lydia Bradley; and brother, Jack. A celebration of his life will be held Sunday, June 19, from 4-6 pm at the Grand Marais Art Colony. Memorials may be made to the Grand Marais Art Colony, Minnetonka Art Center or MCAD.
