Mona L. Tracy

Tracy, Mona L. (nee Burr) age 84, of Osseo and formerly of Monticello, passed away on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 surrounded by her family. Visitation will be Sunday May 18, 2014 from 1 PM to 2 PM at Peterson- Grimsmo Chapel, 250 East Broadway, Monticello. The funeral service will follow at 2 PM. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery of Monticello. Mona was born on April 1, 1930 in Lancaster, WI to Edwin Ray & Violet (Hutchcraft) Burr. She was a woman of great strength and courage. She attended school as an adult and was employed by the Monticello Hospital as a Nurse's Aide, and she worked her way up to Ward Secretary to better support her family. Her greatest pride and joy were her family, and she was deeply involved in all of their lives. She had a remarkable sense of humor, and her mischievous ways and never ending smile will be missed. Her favorite past times were her bowling league and bridge club. Mona was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin and Violet Burr; and brothers Ted, Barney and Gary. She is survived by her children Sandy (Stan) Galstad, Nancy Noetzelman, Jim (ReNee), Kevin (Lee), Merri (Kenneth) Schaufler, and Dawn (Steve) Walter; 15 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; sisters Rosella Fritz and Beverly Burr; and brother Jack Burr. A special thank you to Dr. Noonan of Osseo North Clinic, and Alaina Lerfald of Geriatric Services of Minnesota for their many years of gentle care. Thanks also to Dr. Byakika, the Chaplains and the staff of the 4th floor Maple Grove Hospital for your loving and truly caring touches you gave Mom and our family, as you guided us to the end of her journey.
